This young man has had a tough start in life. In his home for the first 2 years, he spent most of his time crated. A good samaritan, concerned that he needed a better life, facilitated his transfer to another temporary owner who became overwhelmed with his medical needs and made the decision to surrender him to rescue. That temporary home was very instrumental in teaching him basic skills and that life had a lot of good things to offer, including trips to the beach, his favorite thing. Wilbur loves people, but his foster dad is his definite favorite thing ever. He will do well in a quiet patient home that will continue his gradual adjustment to his wonderful new world.
He has had surgery to correct severe entropion, he has had his elongated soft palate corrected, and his tight infected tail has been amputated. He is neutered, current on vaccine and ready to go.
Please read his placement restrictions carefully and if you feel that you can provide a loving home, complete an application.
There is an adoption fee for all of our dogs.
