🐾 Meet Fritters! ❤️
Fritters is a sweet, loving, approximately 7-year-old English Bulldog looking for her forever home. She’s about 45 lbs, brown and white, spayed, house-trained, and crate-trained.
Fritters is an absolute cuddle bug. Her favorite thing is being close to her person, and she would love a home where someone is around most of the day to give her plenty of companionship. She is very food-motivated, which makes her eager to please and learn.
She is wonderful with people and children of all ages, and she is amazing with strangers. She is also great with cats and can do well with small dogs, although she would strongly prefer to be the only dog in the home. She is not comfortable living with our Husky, which is the reason we are looking for a new home for her.
She does have some separation anxiety and may bark occasionally, so her ideal home would be with someone who is home most of the day and can give her the companionship she craves.
❤️ Her medical history
Fritters has been through quite a bit and deserves someone who will continue giving her the care she needs. She is missing her left eye and has had ongoing care for her remaining right eye, including prescription eye ointments. She also has brachycephalic (flat-faced Bulldog) features, including narrowed nostrils and some upper-airway noise, so her adopter should be prepared for the special considerations that come with owning a Bulldog.
A mammary mass was removed in July 2026. The shelter’s biopsy identified it as a low-grade mast cell tumor with incomplete margins, meaning future monitoring and veterinary care will be important because the tumor could potentially recur or additional tumors could develop. The shelter medically cleared her for adoption with future care being the adopter’s responsibility.
She is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, and her complete medical records can be provided to her new family.
🏡 Fritters’ ideal home
Fritters would thrive with someone who:
• Is home most of the day
• Wants a loving companion who will happily cuddle with them
• Has no large/high-energy dogs, preferably no other dogs
• Has cats or is comfortable with cats
• Is prepared for the medical needs and monitoring that come with an older Bulldog
• Understands that she may need some extra patience with separation anxiety
• Will treat her like family and give her the stable, loving home she deserves
Fritters has so much love to give. She isn’t looking for a perfect home—she’s looking for her person. ❤️
If you think you could give Fritters the loving, patient, stable home she deserves, please reach out. Serious adopters are welcome to ask questions and review her complete medical records.
