Monica — To See Her Is to Love Her

Monica is a petite, lovable 3‑year‑old girl weighing about 30 pounds. She was found as a stray in an East Bay city and brought to animal control. When no one came forward to claim her, Monica was transferred to rescue, where she quickly showed everyone just how special she is.

Although she arrived a bit thin, Monica was otherwise in good condition, with only minor skin issues that resolved quickly. She settled into her foster home right away, even mastering the dog door on her very first day. Her adaptability and sweet nature make her a joy to have around.

Mealtime is Monica’s favorite part of the day—closely followed by her nightly peanut butter bone. She enjoys her toys and will occasionally burst into joyful zoomies around the yard. Monica has been tolerant and polite with the other dogs she’s met, though she does like to keep her dinner to herself (fair enough!).

A true people‑lover, Monica thrives on attention. She’ll happily climb into a welcoming lap and roll over for belly rubs. Her foster mom describes her as an “easy keeper”, the kind of dog who fits right into daily life and makes it better.

Monica is spayed, microchipped, heartworm‑negative, and up to date on all vaccines. She is currently in foster care on the San Francisco Peninsula.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who’s equal parts easygoing and charming, Monica may be the perfect match for you.
