Meet Poncho – A Big Tongue, A Bigger Heart!

Say hello to Poncho, a handsome 5-year-old, 38-pound tri-color English Bulldog whose oversized tongue is just part of his irresistible charm! This lovable boy was surrendered to a Bay Area animal shelter when his family could no longer care for him, but he hasn't let that dampen his happy spirit.

Poncho is an incredibly friendly, easygoing guy who loves people and enjoys the company of the other dogs in his foster home. He's already mastered using the dog door for his potty breaks and is perfectly content relaxing on his Kuranda bed between adventures.

One of Poncho's favorite games is catching treats tossed by his foster dad. He's proudly worked his way up to about a 4 out of 5 accuracy rating—and he's determined to improve! When he's not practicing his catching skills, you'll often find him keeping his foster mom company in the garden. He considers himself a very dedicated gardening assistant... although the squash plants occasionally lose a few leaves thanks to his curious supervision. His foster mom insists he's too cute to stay mad at.

Poncho recently underwent successful soft palate surgery, which has given him much better stamina and made it easier for him to enjoy life to the fullest. He's healthy, takes no medications, has a beautiful shiny coat, and is current on all of his vaccinations. He also passed all of his behavioral evaluations with flying colors.
